The system will be designed to integrate and make available data from various institutional sources, in addition to the INVALSI surveys. The aim is to provide a solid foundation for analysis, monitoring and research on the education system.

The data will be processed using secure extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes, with standardisation, validation and anonymisation procedures in compliance with the EU data protection legislation (GDPR). The database, hosted on Azure cloud infrastructure, will be structured to ensure security, scalability and efficient querying.

The DWH will include information on:

• INVALSI test scores for all school levels;
• contextual variables (gender, socio-economic background, etc.);
• schools and class structure.

Future developments are planned to allow authorised users to independently generate data files updated in real time.
