FLIP+ Project
FLIP+ is an international community of institutions working in the field of education, committed to sharing assessment tools and good practices to improve the quality of education globally.
In 2023, FLIP+ established a Consortium bringing together five national member institutions and the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) to create the FLIP+ Library.
The FLIP+ Library brings together leading public institutions within their respective national education systems: the Centre for Public Policy and Education Evaluation (CAEd) for Brazil, the National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education and Training System (INVALSI) for Italy, the Direction de l’évaluation, de la prospective et de la performance (DEPP) of the French Ministry of Education, as lead partner, the National Agency for Education of Lithuania and the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training (NDET) of Norway.
The FLIP+ Library is an open-source platform for educational resources that aims to improve the quality of education globally, contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
INVALSI’s participation is part of international collaboration activities aimed at developing and sharing high-quality assessment tools, designed and tested within national education contexts.

National Programme “PN Scuola e Competenze 2021–2027”,
The National Programme “PN Scuola e Competenze 2021–2027”, promoted by the Ministry of Education and Merit and funded by the FESR and FSE+ funds, sets out the strategic priorities for the education sector for the seven-year period 2021–2027. Aimed at all nursery, primary and secondary schools, as well as adult education (CPIA) centres across the country, the Programme contributes to the achievement of Policy Objective 4 – “A more social Europe” with the goal of strengthening the quality, inclusivity, effectiveness and links with the world of work of education systems.
The PN Scuola also includes a comprehensive evaluation system comprising ongoing monitoring, ex-post evaluations and impact analyses of the measures adopted in relation to the identified challenges.

LINEup is a project that aims to identify the key factors for the success of quality education for all. The Horizon project is based on the mapping and analysis of currently available longitudinal data.

ENRICH is a project (Evaluating Non-cognitive skills for Resilience Innovation and Change) that aims to measure and analyse the level of non-cognitive skills of 10-year-old students attending Italian lower secondary schools in 2024/25.

“BRIC: Skills, safety and needs”
The aim of this project is to carry out a survey to assess the training needs/skills of students with regard to training in occupational safety and health (OSH).
The research will focus on the schools and training courses that prepare students for the work environments with the highest OSH risks, such as the tourism, hotel, mechanical and agricultural sectors. Attention will also be paid to the practices currently used in technical and vocational schools and in vocational education and training (VET) institutions to promote an OSH culture.

DATA2LEARN@EDU
"Data-Driven Learning Organisations in the Education Domain" was selected as one of the winning projects in the "Education and Training" section of the call for proposals onartificial intelligence promoted by Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CDP.
The initiative proposes the systematic analysis of learning outcomes with particular reference to primary and secondary schools, in line with what has already been developed by the Fondazione per la Scuola in collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino in the analysis of school data with the 'Riconnessioni' project, with the Politecnico di Milano in the 'Divari Territoriali' project and with the LINKS Foundation in the 'School Data Dashboard - SDD' project.
In order to promote a more widespread and effective use of learning analytics, the project aims to promote the study and development of an accessible and immediate "dashboard", based on the use of artificial intelligence, capable of providing adequate support to teachers and school managers who are constantly engaged in improving education, verifying its impact through the complex kaleidoscope of information.
Learning analytics can also be used to address the school's main challenges, such as early school leaving, difficulties in student collaboration, the development of argumentation and writing, and the development of computational thinking.
