I dati INVALSI consentono di individuare gli studenti e le studentesse che ottengono risultati elevati pur provenendo da contesti socio-economici e culturali svantaggiati. Quanto è diffuso questo fenomeno? Dove si osserva maggiormente? E che cosa possiamo imparare dai contesti in cui questi percorsi di successo sono più frequenti?

Newsletter “The Insights of the Statistical Department”

As usual, the August issue of the newsletter Insights from the Statistical Department is dedicated to the presentation of the results of the National Student Assessment Surveys for the 2025/26 school year. These results are analysed and published in the 2026 National Report, which was presented on 16 July at the Chamber of Deputies’ Palazzo dei Gruppi Parlamentari in Rome.

Challenges and opportunities of the school system

The volume collects six contributions presented at the ninth edition of the seminar (Rome, 17-19 October 2024). The contributions explore how gender, social background, and migrant status influence educational outcomes and choices, while also addressing inclusion, personalised learning pathways, and educational policies. The overall aim is to better understand the mechanisms that generate inequalities and to promote a more equitable and inclusive education system.
