On the occasion of National Space Day 2023, INVALSI is pleased to invite students, parents, teachers, researchers, and all interested parties to the seminar (also available online) to be held on Tuesday, 12 December, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Is There “Space” for Women in Science?

The topic of the seminar aims to raise awareness and promote reflection on the role and representation of women in scientific careers.

The event will open with an overview of gender differences in access to university studies, presented by Dr. Patrizia Falzetti, Head of the Research Evaluation Department at INVALSI. This will be followed by a talk by Dr. Edwige Pezzulli, astrophysicist and science communicator. Closing remarks will be given by Dr. Maria Teresa Siniscalco, President of ADi (Association of Italian Teachers and School Leaders).
Students from the “Plinio Seniore” State Scientific High School in Rome will also take part in the event.
