One year ago, we published the first number of the newsletter Insights from the Statistical Department, which focused on the 6th Seminar “INVALSI data: a tool for research and teaching.  

With renewed pleasure, this issue presents a report on the VII edition of the Seminar, held in Rome at the Best Western Plus Hotel Universo from 27 to 30 october. This edition confirmed the crucial role the event has taken on over the years as a point of reference between the world of research and that of education. Over time, the debate has crossed national borders: numerous international guests shared their experiences in the field of educational research, representing a valuable contribution in a field where the exchange of ideas and experiences is key to mutual growth.  

Furthermore, the continued endorsement by Espanet Italia and Istat, joined this year by Banca d’Italia and the University of Milano-Bicocca, highlights the results of the work the Statistical Service has been carrying out for years in disseminating data, considered a public asset.
