The connection between school and society leads us to reflect on the value of an educational system whose foundation lies in equity. A fair education system provides the groundwork for a less unequal society. However, this goal is never permanently achieved: building a more equitable school is a process of continuous improvement, which must constantly be reshaped in dynamic interaction with the external world, taking into account the strengths and needs of each individual or collective situation. School equity is a constant commitment without it, any improvements risk remaining isolated experiences that fade without truly addressing disparities.
For these reasons, CeRiForm (Study and Research Center on Education Policy) of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is organizing the seminar entitled “THE EQUITY OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM – Tools for Enhancing Schools.”.
The event will provide an opportunity to discuss and reflect on the development of fragility indexes aimed at reducing territorial gaps and combating early school leaving—an area in which INVALSI is currently engaged, in dialogue with academic experts from different disciplinary perspectives.
Among the speakers: Roberto Ricci (President of INVALSI), Patrizia Falzetti (INVALSI – Head of the Evaluation Research Department) Michele Marsili (Statistical Officer, INVALSI), presenting INVALSI’s research.
The Discussants will include: Tito Boeri (Università Bocconi di Milano), Teresa Grange (Università dalla Valle d’Aosta), Emmanuele Pavolini (Università degli Studi di Milano), Alessandro ROSINA (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore).
